| The original source for this announcement is unknown but it most likely appeared in a Waupaca newspaper. On November 24th, 1855, Mr. Knoph's Tavern would have been located at the lot which is presently 435 North Main St. in the Village of Scandinavia. One would assume "opposite" mean't across the street, thus placing the new store at the present 450 North Main St. location. | ||||||
